                                        Chapter 4:  The Journey Begins</u>

‘With the Dictator sending his men to find Meta Knight and a powerful, yet evil witch, also a Star Hunter after him as well, will he and Platinum Knight be able to get back to Base Camp, without running into them or something else?’

Platinum Knight and Meta Knight have rested a bit the night before, now they have been walking all morning and Meta Knight was just about ready to collapse. Platinum Knight noticed this.

“You okay?” she asked him.

“I’m tired, I need to rest,” he replied.

“Sorry, but we really need to move it so we don’t get spotted by the wrong people.”  She said as she continued walking. Meta Knight wondered if she even knew where she was going.

“Do you even know where we are?”  He asked her. Platinum Knight stopped a moment. She realized was unfamiliar with this area and had no clue where they were.

“I guess that’s a no,” Meta Knight said. Platinum Knight was started to get a little annoyed.

“Give me break will yeah? I haven’t been here before and I can’t find the North Star anywhere,” she said as she scanned the skies for it. Usually people can see the North Star, even in the day, but there was no sign of it anywhere.

“That’s funny,” Meta Knight said as he walked away.

“I’m serious, but I ca-.” she recalled what he just said and figure out what he meant by that.

“Wait a minute, the North Star? That was you? Huh, you would hav- hey, what are you doing?” she just realized what he meant, but she was surprised and annoyed to see him sitting under a tree.

“Come on Platinum Knight, I never stayed up this late before. I need to sleep.” He said.  He was just about ready to fall asleep right there.

“But I don’t know this area or who or what can be around here.”

“I was sent here to help right?” he asked. Platinum nodded.

“I won’t be much help to anyone if I’m too tired to stand, let alone fight anybody.”It bugged her, but she knew he was right.

“Fine, but only for an hour.”

“Two hours.”

“An hour and an half.”

“Deal” He said as he fell asleep. Platinum Knight looked around.

“Well, while he sleeps I guess I can try to find some food and maybe a way back to Base Camp.” She thought to herself. She wondered if her fellow Freedom Fighters were sending some men to find Meta Knight. No doubt Bako is bragging that he’ll find the Star Warrior first. She laughed a little.

“Wait till he finds out that I found him first. He’ll be so mad.” She thought. She looked at Meta Knight, who by now was fast asleep. She couldn’t blame him for being this tired. He is a star, or was? She didn’t know which it was. She guessed he is just a Star Warrior now. By what she knew, they sleep by day, and come out at night to watch over planets. That was what her mother told her.
She did feel more active at night then she usually does at day. That was why she usually took night watch. She started walking, but looked back at Meta Knight again. She hated to admit, but she was starting to like this guy. She knew he wasn’t the kind of guy who was going to let anyone push him around. He may be just what they needed to help end this war. She still had to see him fight though. Hopefully he’s a good fighter. He needed to be. She did thought he looked kind of handsome, even with a mask. She just realized what thought went in her head.

“Where did that come from?!” she thought. She had never thought that about any man she meet before. Why him? She started walking to find food and to clear her head.

A cappie farm boy was out in the fields, tending to the sheep when they started act weird and seemed to be trying to get away from something or someone. He then saw a young woman walk up to him. He was surprised to see her since hardly anyone ever comes around these parts.

“I’m in need of one your sheep to help me get around this area.” She said as she pointed to her chariot.

“I think they might be a little small to pull that,” he said to her. She looked at him as if she was looking to trade him or something.

“Hm, your right.” as she said this, her hand began to glow a bright green, which looked a bit like fire, and cast a spell on him. In an instant he was turned into a ram. With that, she saw brown spots appear on her hand. The spell caused the Star Warrior’s heart’s power to wear off a bit.

“Great, one spell and I already have spots on my hand.” She had to be more careful. She hooked up the ram with another sheep to her chariot and took off to find the Star Warrior.

Back at the Freedom Fighter’s Base Camp, a group of men, including Sonj and Bako, were getting ready to head out to find the Star Warrior that landed. They saw the star fall a long way from here and they knew they were going to need all the supplies that they need for this mission.
For Sonj, the new Star Warrior wasn’t the only one he was thinking of. He was worried about Platinum Knight. No one had seen her since the meeting. He knew she can take care of herself, but with the Dictator’s men always looking for her, he couldn’t help but worry. He knew her since he first join the Freedom Fighters six years ago. She looked after him like a brother and he did thought of her more as a sister then as a friend at times. He hoped she was okay.

“You ready yet Sonj?” He looked up and to see his least favorite person in the world, Bako.

“As matter of fact, I was nearly ready when you barge in,” he said. Bako was not even paying attention.

“Bet you I will be the first one to find the Star Warrior, before anyone else here.” he bragged.  Sonj wasn’t amused. He was always bragging about these kinds of thing. Platinum Knight usually set him straight with a pound to the head.

“I might as well since Platinum left,” said Bako. Now Sonj was mad.

“They only reason she isn’t here is because of what you said about her mother last night.” With that he stormed off to join the other men that were going on the search as well. Bako was surprised by what just happened.

“What did I say?”

Arthur and Dethire were watching the men assemble.

“I hope your men are successful in finding the Star Warrior before the Dictator’s men or Star Hunters do,” said Dethire.

“As do I, but I worry where Platinum Knight is, no one as she her since the meeting last night,” replied Arthur.

“Don’t worry about her, I known her since she was just a child, she knows how to take care of herself. She gets it from her mother.”

“Wish I could have met her, she sounds like she was a great warrior and mother.”

“She was, and in a way you have meet her.” Arthur was wondering what he meant by this.

“Platinum Knight is a lot like her mother in many ways, sometimes I mistake her for her mother. She was very close with her.  Her death has been very hard on her and still is.” Explained Dethire. Arthur thought about it, and assumed he was right.

“I have noticed she seems troubled at times. I wish there is something we can do to help her.”

“Only she can come to terms with her past and accept it. But maybe someone can help her with that pain.”Dethire said as he started walking away. “I wouldn’t be surprised if she already found the Star Warrior.” Arthur was surprised by this, but before he could ask what he meant. Dethire was gone.

Platinum Knight came back after two hours and even though she couldn’t find any food, she did found a road that leads in the direction of where the Base Camp was. She looked for Meta Knight and saw he was still asleep.

“Time to wake up,” said she as she took her sword out. She raised it in the air and caught the sunlight with it and directed into Meta Knight’s face. The light shone right into his eyes, which forced him to wake up from his sleep. He opened his eyes and saw Platinum Knight as she was sheathed her sword away.

“I assume you did that?” he asked her as he got up and stretched.

“I had to wake you up somehow didn’t I?” she replied. Meta Knight laughed a little at that.

“So, any reason for that or was it so you can just wake me up?” he asked her. She chuckled a little.

“Well, I did found a path that leads the where the Base Camp is.”

“Let’s continue on then shall we?”

“We shall.” Then they heard the all too familiar sound of a raid near by. They both quickly headed towards the direction of the raid. They reached the edge of a small canyon and at the bottom was a small travel party being attack by a raiding party. They need help and fast.

“We got to help them!” she said as she slid down the side.

“Platinum Knight  wait! Oui.”  He followed her down.  As Platinum Knight neared the bottom, a steel net appeared out of nowhere and caught her.

“What the?!” It quickly dragged her to the bottom with a loud thud. She looked and saw she was quickly surrounded by the soldiers.

“I know one of the Freedom Fighters would come and we caught no other than Platinum Knight himself,” said one of soldiers. None of the soldiers knew she was really a girl, but it looked like that wasn’t going to last. She saw the families that were being attacked where hiding in their wagons. She could see they were afraid for not only for themselves, but for their hero, Platinum Knight. She tried to get her sword, but the steel net prevent her from doing so.

“Let’s see what the famous Platinum Knight looks like without his mask.” One of the soldiers raised his sword and brought it down to strike her. She closed her eyes and waited for her end.
